The MSEC Fellowship reflects a joint commitment by Mathematically Gifted & Black (MGB) and SIAM to promote long-term engagement of MSEC Fellows within SIAM and continued success within the wider applied mathematics and computational sciences community.
- The MSEC Fellowship recognizes the achievements of early career applied mathematicians–particularly those belonging to racial and ethnic groups historically excluded from the mathematical sciences in the United States—and provides support for professional activities and career development. - SIAM Science Policy Fellowship Program
- This program enables post-doctoral fellows and early career researchers to be strong advocates for federal investments in applied mathematics and computational science. Three to five fellowship recipients will be selected each year to serve two-year terms that include in person and remote training; attending the biannual SIAM Committee on Science Policy Meetings in Washington, D.C.; interfacing with federal officials; and participating in an advocacy day on Capitol Hill.
